LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy & Darth Jar Jar
Menacing Sith Lord ‘Darth Jar Jar’ was first infamously Episode I: The Phantom Menace of the Saga in 1999. In the movie, he is shown as a much-maligned Gungan character. This Dark side character became quite famous among the fandom because of his weird looks and idiosyncratic personality.
Although the character was associated with darkness, it was never shown as evil. A fan theory suggested that Jar Jar was a villainous character all along, and an evil version of the character has been a long-running joke among Star Wars fans. Disney and Lucasfilm finally embraced the idea and included fan favorite Sith lord in the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.
In the trailer, Jar Jar steps out of the Millennium Falcon and says: “Mesa going to hurt yousa.”
The character received negative attention in 1999 when it was unofficially introduced, which led Lucasfilm to shelve it. Over the years, the Sith Version of the character became a fan favorite, and its reappearance filled their hearts with joy.
LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy will premiere on September 13 on Disney+, and fans can’t wait. Till then, definitely check out the trailer if you haven’t already:
