Hard case with lockers
I held off on writing this review in the hopes that my issue would get resolved first. However I am about a month in now and nothing has been done to resolve my problem. When it comes to the design and quality of the hilt things are spot on. very strong metal frame with amazing detail to the original in the TV series. But that is where the good stops and the bad starts. On day one the hilt functioned just fine. But on the third day the blade would no longer light up. After a bit of investigation I determined that the light up pin connector on the Proffie Chassis was faulty. I pointed this out in a large number of back and forth emails and video's with Artsaber. And at first they said sorry and they were going to take care of, and fix the problem. However I have since been getting the email run around "our repair team is looking at it. And we will let you know what they say." It's been a week or so since and still no word yet on what I see as a simple fix. The chassis that came with my hilt was faulty, And they are stalling for one reason or another to fix/replace my chassis. So as it stands right now I spent a little over $500 on a nice looking paper weight. Which really sucks, cause the first day or so I was really impressed and pleased with my purchase. I was even looking at a second purchase for one of their Cal Kestis hilts. But with the lack of support I am getting on the saber I have. I naturally changed my mind. So if you purchase from Artsaber, and you don't have any issues, things will be fine. But, if your like me, you fall into that small group that things don't go well. And you are forced to work with their customer service team. Your not going to be very happy with how things work out. I am still hopeful that there is a happy ending here, but at this time it's not looking good.
The overall esthetic is nice, not a fan of the free spinning bronze piece on top of the grip and some of the parts came loose straight out of the cling wrap. The activation switch is really stiff or not long enough because I have to use alot of pressure to turn the saber on before I hear the button click.
This Lightsaber was better then expected. The materials are of high quality and the effects are above my expectations. It did take some tiemt to learn the Saber commands but you have a Manual card.
Built well. Looks good, but when ever you swing it the sound goes out, and it doesn’t turn off all the time when you hold the button.
