Amandla Stenberg Uses Violin To Show Her Love For Star Wars Theme Music

Amandla Stenberg Uses Violin To Show Her Love For Star Wars Theme Music

In a recent video released by Disney, Star Wars The Acolyte actress Amandla Stenberg is seen performing the Star Wars theme on the violin. Stenberg has been playing the violin since she was in the third grade.

Thus, her rendition of the score is both endearing and unsettling. Regarding Stenberg playing the theme score piece of the Saga, John Williams, the composer of the Star Wars music, was called. Williams not only gave his approval, but he also modified the song just for the performance.

In her Star Wars debut, Stenberg plays Mae, a former Jedi Padawan turned assassin. When Leslye Headland, the showrunner, first conceived the High Republic-era series, she had Stenberg slated to play the vital role. Nevertheless, Mae found herself at the heart of The Acolyte's riddle. A die-hard franchise fan, Stenberg donned a Padmé Amidala costume for the Star Wars Celebration 2023.

In her own words, "John Williams has the ability to create music that feels huge in scope while still being emotive."

When she discovered that he had written the arrangements for her solo violin, she said, "ecstatic when I found out and terrified. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it's something I'll hold onto forever."

Star Wars Universe Is Still In Awe Of Saga Music

Stenberg pays homage to the iconic music by playing solo violin pieces Williams wrote especially for her. Check out the video below:

While many people have significantly contributed to Saga's long history and evolution, Williams stands out as one of the franchise's most critical and enduring individuals.

"I don't think you can love Star Wars without loving the Star Wars score," Stenberg said in the video.

This is a straightforward statement to agree with, given the importance of John Williams' music to the franchise as he composed the soundtrack for every film in the Skywalker saga, beginning with the 1977 original Star Wars. Every movie begins with a crawl set to the instantly recognizable music of Williams.

Williams hasn't written the music for a Star Wars movie since The Rise of Skywalker in 2019, yet people still acknowledge his brilliance and vital contributions.

The Acolyte is an upcoming new series featuring live-action reconstructions of the High Republic era and the galaxy before the Skywalker saga; Williams' inventive arrangements feel fitting. In addition to writing the soundtracks for each movie, he also helped create the sequel trilogy.

Williams returned in 2022 to compose a theme for Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi series. The magnificent soundtrack by John Williams is the backdrop for some of Ewan McGregor's best moments in the prequel trilogy, including "Duel of the Fates" and "Battle of the Heroes."

Williams' enthralling music is still honored in Star Wars, and Stenberg skillfully reinvents it as she promotes The Acolyte.
