New Featurette For ‘Star Wars: The Phantom Menace’ 2024 Re-release

It was 25 years ago when the highly anticipated prequel of the Star Wars franchise hit the theatres in the summer of 1999. 


Episode I of the Saga was written and directed by Star Wars creator “George Lucas” since his first and only Saga directed movie - Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.


Set 32 years before the original trilogy during the era of the Galactic Republic, the plot follows Obi-Wan Kenobi and his mentor, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, as they attempt to protect Queen Padmé Amidala of Naboo and bring peace by resolving the interplanetary trade dispute. Quin-Gon then discovers a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker, who is believed to be ‘The Chosen One’ because of his strong connection with The Force. 


On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace, Disney has decided to re-release the film back in the theatres on 3rd May 2024.

What’s In The Featurette?

The two-minute featurette is released for Star Wars fans to watch online before the movie in the theatres. 


Episode I was the fourth film in the Star Wars series and the first prequel trilogy film. 


The first chronological chapter of the "Skywalker Saga" was The film was produced by Lucasfilm and distributed by 20th Century Fox. The Star Cast included Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels, Kenny Baker, Pernilla August, Frank Oz, & Jake Lloyd.
